Job Title: Thrift Store Pricer/Driver 

Location: Copiague

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Thrift Store Pricer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of used item pricing and thrift store operations. Key responsibilities include pricing items, sorting incoming inventory, maintaining an organized workspace and communicating with the storefront employees about product need.

We have many hard and soft goods that need to be priced on a daily basis. This includes creating labels for each item, tagging all clothing items, sorting clothes and hard good and determining a fair value for the customers.

The majority of pricing is done at our Copiague store on Sunrise highway and we have a warehouse that houses excess inventory in Deer Park. This role will be mainly focused in the Copiague storefront.

Further opportunities exist if you are capable of driving a truck for pickups/drop-offs and between store locations/warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Price and tag items according to store guidelines.

  • Assist in managing inventory and organizing merchandise.

  • Float between different store locations as required.

  • Lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Work both independently and collaboratively with the team.

  • Maintain a positive attitude and reliability in all tasks.

  • Good driving record and ability to drive a box van or truck. 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of used item pricing and thrift store operations.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment.

  • Making quick decisions

  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Genuine interest in learning about various types of items.

We offer a starting pay of $16.50 per hour for positions that require 25-30 hours of work per week with some schedule flexibility. We are seeking individuals who can develop with us in the long run, take responsibility for their role, and eventually become trainers and leaders for future team members.

Storefront Cashier

Responsibilities:

- Checking out customers at the register. 

- Answering questions in person and via phone

- Cleaning and organizing shelves and clothing racks

- Money handling 

- Encouraging sales and promotions. 

- Cleaning skills - Sweeping, cleaning and other assorted duties.

Qualifications:

- Will train but must have some retail background, register/POS experience.

- 2+ years of customer service experience.

- Must enjoy customer service and the environment of a thrift store. 

- Attentiveness and ability to assess customers needs. 

- A great candidate would love the concept of thrift stores, enjoy spending time with customers and enjoy cleaning and setting up store displays.

-Capable of opening and closing the store alone and occasionally with assistance. 

-Comfortable lifting and carrying at least 30lbs. 

- Must be a "people person" and enjoying helping customers. 

-Sufficient skills in prioritizing daily task requirements.

- Being fluent in Spanish and English is not required but would be a bonus!

The position is approximately 10-30 hours and the days/times are flexible. $6.50/hr to start.
